An in Lithium Link interview on the sidelines of last year’s Arkansas Lithium Innovation Summit, Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce CEO Randy Zook said the conversation about lithium had shifted from 2024 — going from “this could work” to “it can work.”
In the brief interview below, Zook tells Lithium Link’s Lance Turner that with global players like Chevron, Exxon, Standard Lithium and Albemarle in the room, the focus moved to supply chains and in-state refinement.
Zook also emphasized that the statutory and regulatory framework is now in place — and that Arkansas is positioning itself not just to extract lithium, but to add long-term value.
